This unusual piece was produced by a retail decor company within the last several years. It is made of turned stoneware that has been partially glazed in a textures glaze in gradient hues of burnt seinna, burnt umber, and umber. It was designed to lift vases initially designed for table tops and shelves to a height better suited to floor arrangements. It is of an open-ended, fluted design. The smaller upper flute and outside are glazed with only half of the throat and the entire base being left bare, for better traction. The base measure 8 1/2" high, has an 8 1/2" diameter mouth, and sits on a 10" diameter base.This item is in very good condition, but does show minor signs of wear from age and use, especially to some of the unglazed sections of the bottom and interior.
