This vintage piece of glazed stoneware is done in an eye-catching teal glaze with a repeating striped foliate pattern throughout. It features several medallions, each with a scene. The smaller medallions along the neck and shoulders of the vase show a human figure in a pastoral landscape, holding some kind of tool with building or silo in the background. The larger medallion features a stylized coat of arms, in gilt, with a roaring golden lion, a crown, and a lamp with six dangling cylinders. There is a floral border that wraps around the shoulders of the vase as well. The item measures 16 1/2" tall and weighs slightly over 5 lbs. The mouth has a 5 1/2" diameter, the base 5 1/4", and the shoulders are 7 1/2". This item is in good overall condition but does show signs of wear to the gilt and white glaze.
