This piece was manufactured by Baker Furniture for there Milling Road Collection sometimes in the 1990s. IT is a high quality designer-driven collection of originals. This piece is done in a rustic, American Country style with its slant front secretary desk with separate support extensions, a narrow upright hutch with brass-wire panels, and long tapered legs with spade feet. It has a single key to lock/unlock and open the desk.  The piece also has a single, paneled drawer with a pair of ring pulls in antiqued brass as well as a leather work surface on the flip-down desk. The piece measures 65 1/2" high, 35 1/2" wide, and is 22" deep when closed and 36" deep with the desk portion is extended. The brand for Baker Furniture and the Milling Road division is visible on the inside of the drawer. This piece is in very good condition but does show typical signs of wear for its age and use, notably around the feet and legs as well as the edges of the desk surface.
