This antique oak ice box has been converted into an lovely and unique storage and display piece. It features three, outward-opening cupboard doors with nickel-plated brass latches and hinges, reverse-pressure light switches, and a 6ft long cord with a standard two-prong plug. Inside, the largest cupboard on the left opens to three glass shelves resting on metal brackets, with the top right door opening to two glass shelves and a wooden partition that acts as a third shelf. The large left and top right compartments share the same space and can be accessed, technically, from either door. The third, bottom right cupboard opens to a single compartment beneath the wooden partition and is completely separate from the top right compartment but it can be accessed from the very bottom of the left compartment. The piece measures 49" high, 36 1/2" wide, 20" deep (this includes latches - 18" just for the piece itself,) and weighs approximately 100 - 125 lbs. This piece is in good over all condition but does show signs of wear from age and use both inside the piece and outside. The top shows noticeable marks and staining, there is a chip in the upper right door on its bottom edge, kickboard is missing a dowel and is loose, and there is noticeable cosmetic wear to the sides and bottom apron of the entire piece.
