This vintage rocker was made of solid birch wood by Lock 1776. It has been beautifully planed and features many turned spindles and a slightly curved flat splat back. The seat has been shaped to cradle a person and the arm rests are comfortably wide and not too high to be uncomfortable. It has been painted with an only slightly tinted sealant, to better let the loveliness of the wood and its grain shine through. There are some notations on the bottom of the seat and a faded gold maker's sticker from LOCK 1776.  It measures 46" high, 25" wide, and 33" deep (this includes the runners), and has a seat height of 17". This piece weighs approximately 30-40 lbs. There are some signs of wear to the stain on the arms rests, one front corner of the seat, and a small section of the head rest.
