This lovely table or display case is absolutely stunning in a well-lit room. Manufactured around the early 1990s, it is comprised of veneered wood, painted a glossy black, that has had classically rendered Japanese style water lilies hand-painted in shimmering gold metallic paint, in large, across the entire piece. Its unusual octagonal shape only enhances its beauty - allowing the gold designs to catch the light from many different angles at once and creating intriguing shadows in unfamiliar places. This item would make an excellent display piece or end talble. It stands on 1/2" wooden pads placed on the bottom at every corner to make movement easier and to protect both floor and item. It stands 28 3/4" high and measures 33" by 32" in diameter. It weighs approximately 50 lbs. This item is in good to very good condition, showing only minor signs of wear from both age and use.
