This parlor set was recently imported from southern France. It is a vintage reproduction of the extremely popular Henri II style of  French Victorian furniture. It features two large arm chairs, one larger side chair, two smaller side chairs, and a tall stool. More than likely a custom order from one of the exclusive furniture makers in France known for making quality replicas of antique and vintage furniture, all six pieces are covered in a cotton poly blend velvet and are all trimmed in heavy, glittering gold braid. All the walnut has been hand carved, turned, and varnished. The bottoms are all covered in crisp white cotton. All six are are period appropriate, almost down to the dark decorative hob nails in the shape of flowers and fleur de lys holding the braid to the velvet edges. This set has been appraised and sold by a well-respected French auction and antique house, Guillaumot-Richard.The arm chairs measure 38" high, 25 1/2" wide, 20" deep, with a seat height of 19". They weigh approximately 12 lbs. The smaller side chairs measure 37" high, 20" wide, 18" deep, with a seat height of 21". The larger side chair measures 37" high, 22" wide, 20" deep, with a seat height of 21". All the side chairs weight approximately 8-10 lbs. The stool measures 23" tall, 22 1/4" wide, and 15 1/2" deep.
