These ornate entry tables are quite impressive vintage reproductions of the Empire style that was popular in the middle of the 19th century. Made of heavy steel with a tessellated marble base, this table features a fluted hourglass shaped pedestal with an embossed medallion design imprinted on the top half of the pedestal with four scrolled bars extending out in a V-shape. These are enhanced with beautifully rendered acanthus affixed over the bars and a smaller molding fitted over the curled ends. A brass ring hangs from the ends of all four pieces. Ornate brass rose swags hang on both sides, connecting the four "legs" together and accenting the second, separate medallion that fits right beneath the removable 1" thick beveled glass top. These tables stand 34" high with the glass in place, 32" without. They measure 62" long with the glass, 48" without, and 21" deep with glass, 15" without. The marble base is 16" x 34". These are quite heavy - each table weighs 100 lbs without the glass and 150 lbs with the glass top in place. These tables are in good to very good condition, with some small signs of wear to the marble base from age and use.
