This dresser and mirror set is an American treasure. Manufactured by the Bassett Furniture Company, out of Bassett, Virginia, this set is made of cherry and from the Longwood Manor Collection. Basset is one of the oldest furniture manufactures in the nation and focuses on quality - handcrafted pieces out of only the best materials. These two pieces are no different. Done in the Federal style, the dresser stands 34" tall, 64" wide, and 18 1/4" deep. It has six drawers - two long drawers on top, two meduim drawers, plus one small  drawer in the middle, and two faux-double drawers on the bottom. The small drawer has a stylized fan design carved into the front. The mirror, in the same style, is 50 1/2" tall, 36 1/4" wide, and 2 1/2" deep. The glass is clear, with no signs of any damage either to the silver backing or the front glass. There is a lovely open arch and finial at the crest of the mirror. The mirror has two legs that slide into hatches on the back of the dresser. Both dresser and mirror have their serial numbers, names, and manufacturers stenciled onto their backing. The dresser has the wood brand for Bassett placed on the inside of the topmost left-hand drawer. These pieces are in pristine condition, with only the most minimal of surface scuffs on the dresser's top. Please consult images, and message with any questions.
