  • This contemporary Neoclassical style foyer table was manufactured sometime in the late 20th century. Made mainly from maple, the table is detailed with rosewood and satinwood and features a burlwood inlay encircling the inner details on the table's surface. The inner designs are dominated by a foliate scroll work which is interspersed with pictorial medallions featuring stylized images of musical instruments such as the guitar, lyre, trumpet, lute, reed pipes, and sheet music. This piece has brilliant parcel-gilt decorations of classical female relief masks and laurel leaves around the edge aprons and a similar design in larger acanthus leaves trailing down the pedestal and over the base's trefoil legs. This table's three feet are solid brass and are shaped and detailed like a true lion's paw. The laminate on the edges of the tabletop are lightly scuffed and there are some minor dings on the legs and feet. This table stands 30" high, 41" wide and 28" deep, with a diameter of 41" weighing 50 lbs. This item is in very good condition, but does show signs of wear from age and use. Please consult images, message with any questions.
