  • This French chandelier was produced in the early-to-mid 20th century. New prisms of premium Egyptian crystal have been installed throughout, rendering a gorgeous display in all conditions of lighting. The illumination is provided by twelve electrified lights arranged in three tiers. The sockets accept a standard-base lamp and cast a considerable amount of light. A crystal column suspends within the center, capped with a glittering crown of round faceted rope and brilliant French-cut Asfour pendalogues which are suspended from gracefully curving tendrils of old-world bronze. A triad of leaf-ornamented bronze branches frame the central column and support nine downward-facing lights. Three upward facing lights capture the remaining facets of the crystal work and highlight the ornate details of the bronze artistry. Exquisitely designed and remarkably well-preserved, this chandelier would make the perfect centerpiece for an impressive foyer or state room. This chandelier is of palatial proportions, measuring 54'' high and nearly 30'' in diameter. It weighs approximately 110 pounds. The piece is in great physical and functional condition- the aged bronze frame shows minimal signs of damage or pitting that is typically associated with vintage bronze, and the impressive amount of high-clarity crystals are all in the phenomenal physical shape that is expected with artisan crystal work.
