This lovely early 20th century English side by side secretary curio features traditional Edwardian detailing, including cross banding and end-matched flamed mahogany marquetry on the center console; the top unit opens to a drop-front leather top desk, divided storage space, and a single drawer with dovetail joinery. The lower cabinet, which like the top has a solid dark mahogany interior opens to a spacious shelved compartment. Each side of the double curio features the classic gently sloped fretwork on the heavily bowed glass doors, which each open to a pair of corner fitted glass shelves. Raised on ball and claw feet, this curio is topped with wraparound rope crown molding, as well as a tapered rear pediment accented with a tasteful foliate finial. This well-maintained English antique comes with two working keys. The entire piece measures 52 1/2" high, 49" wide, and 17" deep. This item is in very good antique condition. There are marks and signs of wear from age and use visible on the legs, feet, backsplash, and glass shelves. Please consult all images and message with any questions.
