This elegant maple piece was handcrafted during the 1920s in the ever-popular Arts and Crafts style. Featuring beautifully sawn maple throughout, it has three small drawers on the right, topped by a work surface and a recessed beveled back mirror. Held aloft on spooled fluted rails, this is topped by a small cupboard with a charmingly rough-hewn floral design on the front doors. It has a drop pull and a inner door lock on the non-dominate door. The longest drawer extends the entire length of the piece on the very bottom, just above the bowed apron and organic-looking fluted stump front feet. Like the other three drawers and the cupboard, it has ornate solid brass double pulls. The coupe de grace of the piece is the massive beveled cheval mirror with its fluted and spooled rails, acorn finials, and heavy chased brass knob. The pieces measures 75" high, 58" wide, and is 22" deep. It weighs approximately 150-175 lbs. This piece is in very good condition, but does show some signs of wear from age and use. There is some very minor water damage to wood on the top surface on the far side of the drawer set as well as the typical nicks and scuffs to the feet seen in items of this age. There is some slight silvering on the mirror as well, due to changes in humidity and temperature. Please consult all images and message with any questions.
