  • This antique cylinder butter churn was made by RC.W Richmond in Virginia in the 1920s from white cedar. A hand crank would turn the still-functional internal paddles to churn the butter and the wooden lid and knob are original. It is wrapped in its original tin bands and has a 3 gallon capacity. The piece measures 17" high, 15" wide, 11 1/2" deep, and weighs approximately 16 pounds, This piece has a lovely, rich patina to the cedar and the inside is in great condition. The hand crank is missing and two of the four feet are in less than stellar condition. Overall, this antique item is in good condition but does show signs of wear consistent with both its age and consistent use. Please consult all images and message with any questions.
