This antique stick-back Farmhouse style oak chair was built sometime around the turn of the 20th century. It features a hand-spindled stick back splat with knob finial side rails. The seat is smooth tanned Moroccan red leather than is held in place with floral motif decorative brass tacks. This chair has not been re-seated and this is the original seat. It is important to note this as many times a cane chair is too damaged and must be replaced with a leather or fiber seat. The base of the chair is very simple with single leg stretchers and rounded bare feet. The item measures 35" high, 16" wide, 15" deep, with a seat height of 17 1/2". It weighs approximately 6 lbs. This item is in fair to good condition as it does show minor signs of wear from both age and use. There are signs of some water damage on the seat although it has been recently cleaned and conditioned to keep the leather supple. There is also a split along one inner plank that would need to be glued to prevent splinters. Please consult images and message with any questions.
