  • This pair of chairs were probably produced in the first half of the 20th century, right around the end of WW1. While the pressed back has designs reminiscent of the Art Nouveau, the overall construction of the pieces is from the Arts & Crafts movement, Art Nouveau's predecessor. It was created right in between the shift in aesthetics and hold both equally. The seat is blonde polished leather to match the blonde oak finish on the wood. It is tooled with fleur de lys in a concentric pattern and the side rails and front legs are spooled. One of the chair is missing a decorative brace between the seat and the rail, but it can be replaced easily and does not threaten the structural integrity of the chair itself. The chairs measure 40" tall, 16" wide, and 16" deep.  Please consult images, and message with any questions.
