This a lovely set of four French Henry II style dining chairs, circa 1900. Made of carved walnut, these chairs have ornate individually carved lion's heads on the top of each chair rail. From the tastefully petite spindles, to the elegant fluting of the turned columns, down to the curved and carved single-piece stretchers beneath: These delightful chairs have a decidedly turn of the 20th century charm. The multi-color upholstery features a trim of hand-hammered brass medallion nail-heads, and is predominated mainly by warm tones in shades of red and gold. The chairs measure 40" high, 19" wide, and 18" deep. The seat height is 19".
