  • This extremely rare plate was produced in Sweden at the Gustavberg Porcelain Factory, in the city of the same name in 1826.  It produced up until the 1990s when it was dismantled and sold off in pieces, but artisans and ceramicists n the area still produce fine pottery today. This small cake or bread plate was part of the "Gefion" pattern and was produced from 1922 - 1939. While still semi-accessible in Europe, this pattern and type of antique pottery is hard to find in the United States. It was considered an heirloom by many and has been passed religiously down familial lines. The plate measures 7 7/8" in diameter and is 3/4" thick/ deep. This piece is in fair to good condition but does show significant signs of age and use in the form of stains, crazing, and chips to the rim. Please consult images and message with any questions.
