This early 20th century celluloid and lace fan is hand-painted with three scenes taken from Georgian era England, of ladies and gentlemen out in the gardens. The piece was professionally matted and framed in a brass shadowbox frame lined in black velvet and an acrylic front pane. It measures 25" long, 19" wide, 2 1/2" thick, and weigh approximately 3-5 lbs. The back is lined in paper and ready to be hung. This piece is in good condition, showing little signs of wear from age and use. The pediment, done in cast gesso, is cracked between two curls of ribbon and is fragile. Please consult images and message for more information.
