This antique chair was once part of set of dining chairs. It was probably produced sometime during the first half of the 20th century, close to the end of WW1. While this was more than likely factory cut, it was hand assembled, sanded, and varnished. It is done in an elegant, simple Arts & Crafts style with its  straight, faintly Queen Anne back, and tapered legs. The wood is oak and has been lightly varnished to let the natural color show. It sports a blonde polished tooled leather seat that has been affixed to the chair with brass hobnail accents.  This chair is in acceptable condition, but it showing signs of wear due to age and use.  Due to its age and how light the original coat was, the varnish has worn alarming thin in some places. The leather is in very good condition and the stretchers and legs are also sturdy.  The chair measures 36" tall, 17" wide, and 16" deep. Please consult images, and message with any questions.
