  • This antique nursing rocker was manufactured sometime in late 1800s. It is in the American Victorian Eastlake style and has the classic Eastlake incised mouldings and fluted side rails and seat supports. It is made from solid walnut and has a burlwood inlay at the top of the crest rail. The stretchers are hand-turned spindles, as are the spindles at crest rail. In fact, the entire piece is hand-carved and hand-assembled. The seat and back are made from thick, high quality hand-woven cane, which is still intact and quite sturdy. The entire piece is in great shape for its advanced age, although there are some signs of wear from age and use on the legs and runners. Please consult images, and message with any questions.
