This is a matched set of American Victorian parlor furniture. Lightly hand-carved of walnut in the style of Charles Lock Eastlake, both pieces, a settee and rocker, are topped with a gorgeous burl walnut veneer.  This set has been restored by a conservator at some time in its history.   The underside of each piece has been covered with the same fabric as the top, but one can feel by hand that the original springs have been re-tied.  Both pieces are sturdy and provide a comfort level best described as medium firm. The settee measures 50" long from arm to arm, 40" high, and the seat height is 15" .  The rocker stands 40" high, is 24" wide overall, and is 33" deep. There's light staining to the armrests of the rocker, but the restoration is in excellent condition otherwise. A few character marks are visible beneath the wood stain, but nothing is present that detracts from its beauty. Please consult all images and message with any questions.
