This extremely lovely set of dining chairs is in the classically beautiful American Victorian style. Each chair is made of hand-shaped walnut, then assembled by hand. They all possess the traditional single splat backs, with a hard carved floral design along the crest rail. The legs are done in the more simplistic saber style, with squared off stretchers between. The wine-colored corduroy velvet upholstery is original to the chairs and is in absolutely amazing condition. Overall, this set is in great shape, with only a few minor signs of aging - some of the bottoms of the chair seats show more cosmetic damage and there is some scuffing along the base of the chairs' feet.  There are six chairs, although only five are pictured.
